The configurator instantly estimates material consumption and print duration from measured object volume, material, print quality, infill and quantity. No slicer run is required; the model is also technically reviewed before production. The order and confirmed price normally remain unchanged.

The regular calculation basis

The instant price needs no slicer run: measured object volume and selected infill estimate filament consumption. The quality setting affects the resulting estimated print duration. The same fast formula is checked again on the server before the cart is enabled.

For PLA, the first 100 g on each print plate and copy cost €0.12/g and further estimated consumption costs €0.0605/g. Other materials scale with their material tariff. This is combined with €0.55 per estimated machine hour, a €1.00 setup fee per plate and copy and €2.50 per additional colour and copy. The highest material minimum in the order applies once: PLA €4.90 · PETG €5.90 · TPU 95A €6.90 · PLA-CF €7.90 · PETG-CF €8.90.

  • Measured geometric object volume as the starting point
  • Infill for estimated material consumption
  • Quality setting for estimated machine time
  • Declining consumption tier calculated separately per plate
  • Material tariff for the selected filament
  • €2.50 flat rate per additional colour and copy

How the instant price is calculated

Measured object volume and infill produce an instant consumption estimate. Material tariff, quality setting and the resulting estimated machine time form the variable price. Large consumption receives a lower rate above 100 g on each print plate; setup and additional colours remain fixed components.

  • Instant estimate instead of a long slicer run
  • Infill increases estimated filament consumption
  • Quality affects estimated machine time
  • Separate consumption tier and setup fee per print plate

Production time is not carrier transit time

Checkout shows the currently applicable window for the regular queue at no extra charge. Alternatively, choose priority production with 6–18 hours for an additional €12.00. The selected window starts after payment or order acceptance and technical approval.

Carrier transit begins only after production. Standard shipping is free from an order value of €60; express shipping remains chargeable. Priority production and express shipping are separate options.

When an adjusted offer is required

Only rare exceptions involving open or very complex meshes, unusual scaling, long print times, high support demand or special functional requirements differ from the automatic estimate. We then reject an unworkable order or agree an adjusted price with you before production; there is no recalculation without consultation.

FAQ

Common questions

Why can a small part cost more than expected?

Small parts still require fixed work for review, setup, removal, quality control, packaging and payment processing.

Is there an automatic volume discount?

Large consumption automatically receives a lower rate above 100 g on each print plate. Every copy still needs its own print plates and is therefore charged including the setup fee for every required plate. Ask us about larger batches.

Does express mean immediate production?

No. Priority production provides a 6–18 hour production window for an additional €12.00. Express shipping only shortens the subsequent carrier transit time.
